Special Education Teacher

Special Education Teacher for High School Learning Support, High School Emotional Support, and Middle School Learning Support. Responsibilities include developing and implementing IEPs to support students with disabilities; providing differentiated instruction in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings; adapting lesson plans, curriculum, and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs; assessing and monitoring student progress using data-driven decision-making; collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success; participating in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences; maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with PDE and IDEA regulations; implementing behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and classroom management strategies to promote student engagement. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education, and Pennsylvania PDE Instructional I or II Teaching Certificate in Special Education, with fingerprint clearance background check.
