Job Summary
Special Education Teacher responsible for developing and implementing IEPs, providing differentiated instruction in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings; adapting lesson plans and curricula to accommodate diverse learning needs; monitoring student progress using data-driven decision-making; collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success; participating in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences; maintaining accurate records in compliance with NCDPI and IDEA regulations; implementing Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) and classroom management strategies to promote student engagement; contractual work up to 40 hours per week with opportunities to extend or transition to permanent roles; supported by Schoolforce Solutions with a dedicated Relationship Manager; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education from an accredited program
- North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in Special Education (issued by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction – NCDPI)
- Special Education Licensure in Adaptive Curriculum (AC) or General Curriculum (GC) preferred
- Experience with IEP development and implementation
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
