Special Education Teacher

In-person Special Education Teacher role focusing on 3&4 year olds with a caseload of 12-16 students in a dedicated Early Childhood Special Education/Model 1 classroom. Responsibilities include developing and implementing IEPs for students with disabilities, delivering differentiated instruction across one-on-one, small group, and inclusive settings, adapting lesson plans and strategies to meet diverse learning needs, and using data-driven methods to assess progress. Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success; participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences. Maintain accurate records in compliance with Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and IDEA guidelines; implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and effective classroom management. Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education and Colorado Teaching License with Special Education Endorsement; fingerprint clearance and background check.
