Job Summary
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that fulfill State Department of Education requirements while incorporating accommodations and differentiation for diverse learning styles. Collaborate with staff to design digital learning experiences and monitor student achievement through formal and informal assessments to guide instructional delivery. Work cooperatively with the Students Support Coordinator to modify curricula based on Individual Education Plans and manage 504 plans and SPED programming. Establish open communication channels with parents, students, and school leaders while creating behavior management plans and extracurricular activities as assigned. Engage in professional development activities and compile all required reports and records. Join the Ambition Prep team in Jackson, MS, serving grades K-8 in a new college preparatory environment focused on college and life success.

- Bachelor's degree
- Mississippi Teacher License with Special Education Certification
- minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- Strong computer skills, including Google Suite
- Experience working with under-resourced communities, families, and/or students
- Demonstrated success in building relationships and trust with leaders, teachers, parents, and community
- Experience in managing and influencing teams and individuals to meet specific and strategic outcomes
- Proven written & verbal communication skills with all levels of management, internal & external to the district
