Job Summary
Special Education Teacher at Grant Watts Elementary responsible for delivering specially designed instruction to students with disabilities, with a focus on self-regulation, executive functioning, and social-emotional functioning. Responsibilities include modifying instruction and materials to support students with learning and/or behavioral disabilities, aligning with IEP goals and State Benchmark Standards, ensuring compliance with pre-referrals (SST), referrals, testing, recordkeeping, and service delivery, maintaining professional confidentiality, and developing positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community. The role requires collaborating with the classroom teacher, providing instruction to achieve IEP goals, and fulfilling 190 contract days plus 5 extended contract days; salary range $52,168–$106,048 based on experience. Veterans preference eligibility applies.
Required Qualifications
