Job Summary
Special Education Teacher responsible for delivering specially designed instruction to students with disabilities in a structured classroom setting, supporting IEP goals and state benchmarks, and collaborating with general education staff, families, and administrators. Responsibilities include modifying instruction and materials for learners with learning or behavioral needs, administering and complying with pre-referral processes, SST referrals, testing, and service delivery in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines, maintaining student confidentiality, and fostering positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community. Experience with self-regulation, executive functioning, and social-emotional needs is emphasized, with additional training provided as needed. Salary ranges from $52,168 to $106,048 per year, with a 3% SEA contract stipend; contract length is 190 days plus 5 extended days; veterans may submit DD Form 214/215 for eligibility.
