Job Summary
Support and consult with classroom teachers to modify instruction for students with learning or behavioral disabilities. Provide specially designed instruction aligned with Individual Education Plans and state benchmarks while ensuring district, state, and federal guidelines for pre-referrals, testing, and recordkeeping are strictly followed. Maintain professional relationships with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community, while upholding confidentiality regarding student data. Focus on supporting student self-regulation, executive functioning, and social-emotional development through positive behavioral choices. This 190-day contract includes five extended days at Otto Petersen Elementary, with probable travel to St. Helens School District.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- TSPC Licensure in Special Education
- experience working with students who need support in making positive behavioral choices
