Job Summary
Special Education Teacher (K–12) at KIPP St. Louis designs and delivers instruction to diverse learners, develops and implements IEPs, differentiates curriculum with appropriate accommodations and modifications, and uses data to monitor progress and adjust supports. Collaborates with general education teachers, service providers, and families to create inclusive, supportive learning environments. Responsibilities emphasize ensuring access to grade-level standards, ongoing assessment for learning (DIBELS, MAP, EOC), and evidence-based practices to promote student growth, independence, and meaningful participation in both general and special education settings. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in education, and K–12 Cross Categorical/Mild Mod certification, with at least 2+ years of classroom teaching experience; 10-month, full-time exempt role with a starting salary of $50,500.
