Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in the resource room. Create and maintain an environment fostering student achievement and lifelong skill development while maximizing opportunities for success through positive working relationships. Instruct students in learning materials and equipment, demonstrate proficiency with technology, and serve as a role model for life-long learning. Observe and evaluate student performance, assign and grade work, and provide appropriate feedback. Maintain a collaborative environment, manage formal and informal learning experiences responsive to student needs, and complete Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Project a good public image of the School District in community and employee interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Teaching certificate
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree
- Must be Highly Qualified in endorsement area
- Must meet certification and endorsement requirements for assignment
- Must meet all NCA and Michigan Department of Education requirements
- Be proficient in the use of technology
- Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 pounds in assisting students
- Have Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training or will get the training as soon as possible
