Job Summary
Special Education Teacher responsible for designing and implementing instructional strategies aligned with the district curriculum and state standards to foster students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, and social development. Duties include delivering engaging instruction using diverse strategies and technology, aligning with TEA guidelines and ARD/IEP processes, differentiating instruction for students with special needs, collaborating with colleagues to modify curricula and provide accommodations, supervising instructional aides, assessing student progress, leading extracurricular activities, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with parents and the school community to support student success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject and level assigned, including Special Education certification
