Job Summary
Write accurate, aligned, data-driven IEPs for your caseload and develop rigorous lessons in 1:1 blended learning environments to reignite students for college and beyond. Set ambitious goals, monitor progress with frequent feedback, and track growth using coach data to create student plans. Build relationships with families through consistent communication via phone, video, or email, while maintaining a classroom environment appropriate for physical, social, and emotional development. Collaborate on daily lesson plans, conduct weekly tutorials for additional support, and complete supervision duties including morning, lunch, dismissal, and afterschool safety rounds. Submit grades, work samples, and compliance updates on regular deadlines while growing professionally through consistent feedback from leadership and content teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
- Texas Educator Certification in Special Education, or willing to join ACP to get certified in first year
- Strong ability to navigate web-related applications and technology
- Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms
- Belief in and commitment to the mission and core value of YES Prep Public Schools
- Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to work urgently in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and initiatives at once
