Job Summary
Lead a special education classroom serving students with diverse learning needs in Mod/Severe settings. Develop and implement IEPs, adapt curriculum to meet individual goals, manage PBIS and behavior tracking, supervise paraprofessionals, attend and lead IEP meetings, assess student progress toward IEP goals, and collaborate with families, related service providers, and outside agencies. Utilize assistive technology and augmentative communication devices to support student growth; ensure compliant documentation and state standards alignment. Required Qualifications
- State Specific Department of Education Certification
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree strongly preferred
- DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance, as applicable by state
- 2–5 years preferred
- Experience implementing curriculum and behavior interventions
- Proficiency with IEP documentation systems (e.g., IEPpro)
- Lead IEP meetings and maintain compliant documentation
- supervise paraprofessionals
- Ability to develop lesson plans with accommodations aligned to IEP goals
Desired Qualifications
- State-specific Department of Education certification (CA)
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
