Special Education Teacher PK-12 Pool

Develop learning activities and curricula to support intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth for special education students. Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs while conducting assessments of learning styles and student achievement. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and ARD Committee members to develop Individual Education Plans and modify regular curricula as needed. Manage student behavior, administer discipline, and provide personal care, medical care, and feeding as specified in IEPs. Direct instructional aides and volunteers, supervise extracurricular activities, and maintain open communication with families and staff. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations while protecting students and facilities. Work in self-contained, team, or itinerant capacities as assigned, with a valid Texas teaching certificate and special education endorsements required.
