Job Summary
Conduct specialized instruction for students with moderate intellectual disabilities using a core-academic and functional skills curriculum. Implement behavioral interventions and social-emotional strategies, including level systems, visual schedules, and communication boards, while adhering to district CPI procedures. Supervise and coordinate with one or more teaching assistants to deliver daily support. Requires Multi-Categorical certification in Intellectual Disabilities, Severe Disabilities, or Special Education. This 190-day position is available for the 2026-2027 school year.

- Specialized instruction and support for students with various intellectual disabilities
- Core-academic and functional skills instruction through a specialized curriculum
- Behavioral intervention and/or social-emotional instruction
- Use of effective behavioral strategies such as level systems, visual schedules, communication boards
- CPI certification
- Follow all district procedures related to the use of CPI techniques
- Supervision and proper utilization of one or more teaching assistants
- Multi-Categorical certification
- Intellectual Disabilities certification
- Severe Disabilities certification
- EMD certification
- TMD certification
- Generic SpEd certification
