Job Summary
Special Education Teacher for MoCI in Birmingham Public Schools at Groves High School for the 2026-27 school year. Requires a Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a SA endorsement (Special Education – Cognitive Impairment) or the ability to obtain this endorsement. Demonstrates strong knowledge of MARSE regulations, effective communication, collaborative work with students, parents, and staff, and proven competency in student management and supervision. Builds strong interpersonal relationships and is committed to improving learning outcomes for all students in a MoCI classroom.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a SA (Special Education – Cognitive Impairment) endorsement or ability to obtain this endorsement
- Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge in the content area of service and MARSE regulations
- Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, parents, and staff
- Demonstrated competency in student management and supervision

- Demonstrated ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
