Job Summary
Develop accommodations and curriculum modifications, create standards-aligned IEPs and ensure fidelity of their implementation; collaborate with general education staff to plan and deliver specialized instruction and assessment aligned with District learner outcomes and State achievement standards; supervise assigned students, monitor progress toward goals, and maintain a positive learning environment; work with IEP Team to develop and implement IEPs, monitor goals, and communicate with families; collaborate with staff to schedule students and paraprofessionals, modify curriculum for individual differences, and utilize formative/summative assessments; apply knowledge of special education, literacy/numeracy interventions, safety procedures, and district policies; maintain relationships with families and the school community; adhere to legal requirements and district procedures; contribute to a safe, orderly classroom and support student outcomes through data-driven progress monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Colorado Teaching License with endorsements for the levels and subject areas teaching
- Pass the PLACE or PRAXIS II Test
- Meet CDE and ESSA requirements for In-Field Teacher
- Compliance with CPI training upon hire
