Special Education Teacher - MI

Deliver direct instruction and co-teach in regular or resource classrooms, ensuring all students meet their IEP goals through differentiated activities and multiple assessment methods. Design lessons with appropriate accommodations, monitor student behavior using established rules, and manage classroom equipment while utilizing technology to support learning. Collaborate with co-teachers, grade-level teams, and instructional support staff to align instruction with curriculum standards, and build partnerships with families and outside agencies. Develop individualized education programs and behavior plans, conduct case conferences, and interpret assessment results for parents and staff. Complete required annual state assessments, maintain daily records, and participate in special education staff meetings and extracurricular activities.
