Job Summary
Special Education Teacher responsible for delivering instruction to students according to IEP and BIP, using instructional strategies to teach functional life skills, creating and implementing classroom or individual disciplinary plans, developing lesson plans, coordinating paraprofessionals/personal assistants, participating in committees and professional development, maintaining accurate student records including IEPs, and communicating progress to parents. Role requires adherence to IEP compliance procedures, participation in IEP/504 teams as requested, implementation of IEPs and health plans, and reporting concerns per Board policy; position is full-time with benefits at Meramec Valley R-III School District for the 2026-2027 school year.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Education/Valid DESE Certification in Special Education Mild/Mod Cross Categorical required
