Job Summary
Provide instruction to students according to their IEP and BIP; teach functional life skills; create and implement classroom or individual disciplinary/behavior plans; develop lesson plans and activities; supervise paraprofessionals/personal assistants; participate in building/grade/subject committees; engage in professional development; maintain accurate records including IEPs, attendance, grades, discipline; ensure IEP compliance and timely completion of IEPs; communicate progress with parents; participate on IEP/504 or student support teams; implement IEPs and health plans as written; report suspected abuse or harassment per policy; prepare substitutes' lesson plans; additional duties as assigned; full-time with benefits; effective 2026-2027 school year. Required Qualifications
- BS in Education/Valid DESE Certification in Special Education Mild/Mod Cross Categorical required
- DESE Certification in Elementary 1-6 preferred
