Job Summary
Conduct individual instruction for students with IEPs in classrooms, small groups, or whole class settings. Facilitate IEP meetings with parents, guardians, and external agencies to ensure compliance and coordinate services. Collaborate with regular education teachers, paraprofessionals, and clinical departments to monitor student progress and collect data against goals. Maintain accurate documentation of progress reports, work samples, and communication with stakeholders. Provide IEP goal updates to parents, school districts, placement agencies, and therapists. Stay updated on relevant laws and best practices to support student achievement.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree
- A special Education license for the state if Utah
- Physically able to bend, stand, stoop, or sit for long periods of time
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Push / Pull up to 100 lbs
- Possible restraining of escalated clients
Desired Qualifications
- An endorsement in English
- A minimum 1 to 2 years of special education experience
- Experience in working with adolescents
- Knowledge of human behavior, social interactions, and psychology
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in telephone, computer, and face-to-face communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with staff and students
