Job Summary
Special Education Teacher for Life Skills Program at Gardiner Area High School. Develop and implement individualized programming addressing academic, behavioral, communication, vocational, and functional life skill needs; collect and utilize student data to inform instruction and progress monitoring; supervise and collaborate with education technicians to ensure high-quality student programming; write goals, conduct progress monitoring, and complete progress reporting; collaborate with families, service providers, and multidisciplinary teams; maintain an inclusive, structured learning environment and apply flexible, creative problem-solving to address emerging needs; participate in ongoing professional development and mentorship within a supportive team.
Required Qualifications
- Special Education Certification
- CHRC Authorization through State of Maine Department of Education
