Job Summary
Special Education Teacher at Legacy Traditional Schools responsible for delivering direct instruction and developing personalized learning approaches for primary and secondary students with Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe needs. You will implement the proven curriculum, create a classroom environment that supports social, physical, and intellectual growth, conduct ongoing assessment, celebrate student achievements, and collaborate with students, parents, and fellow educators. The role involves one-on-one support, adapting teaching strategies to individual learning styles, and traveling to other campuses as needed; participation in events outside normal hours and maintaining compliance with background checks may vary by state.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- K-12 Special Education Mild/Moderate OR Special Education Moderate/Severe teaching certificate within the state the position is located
- passion for teaching, helping students learn, and celebrating success
- ability to participate in events outside normal hours
- travel to other campuses as required
