Job Summary
Long term substitute Special Education Teacher/Learning Specialist at Ottoson Middle School to cover for a leave Aug–Nov 2026. Responsible for planning instruction and/or curricula adaptations for included special needs students to meet high standards, develop IEPs, determine goals and objectives, and monitor progress. Provide direct instruction, collaborate with regular education staff, consult with regular education teams, organize and chair the annual Team, administer testing for evaluations, and maintain contact with families and the Special Education Coordinator and Building Principal. Includes preparation of progress reports and participation in building Learning Team activities.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years successful teaching experience in Special Education
- Massachusetts Certification in Special Education Preferred (Moderate/Severe)
- Master's Degree preferred
