Job Summary
Deliver individualized instruction to students based on their unique needs while providing clear, consistent classroom structure. Draft, create, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students, and supervise paraprofessionals to ensure effective support. Teach during the Extended School Year (ESY) program and adapt teaching methods for students with profound disabilities and autism spectrum conditions. This Life Skills Teacher role supports a student-centered, compassionate environment for individuals with profound developmental disabilities. New graduates are welcome to apply and will receive a supportive mentoring program including initial onboarding, in-classroom coaching, and participation in the RBTP Life Skills curriculum.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited college
- Proper and current Illinois teaching credentials (PEL license)
- LBS1 credential
- Meet state guidelines for school accreditation
