Job Summary
Manage and provide instructional guidance, virtual teaching, and general strategies for a caseload of students with special needs. Develop, write, and implement IEPs and 504 plans while evaluating assessments, completing report cards, and conducting parent conferences. Communicate regularly with parents and learning coaches to ensure IEP goals are met, consult with teachers on specially designed instruction, and schedule IEP meetings in a virtual environment. Provide direct services via web-conferencing, coordinate related service providers, and maintain accurate data in the school's Learning Management System. Assist with state testing adaptations and program modifications. Work remotely in Kansas as part of an inclusive, tuition-free online public school serving K-12 students.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Special Education or related Education Field
- Valid Special Education credential in Kansas
- Experience in policy (IDEA) and/or administration with Special Education
- Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Customer focused approach
- High degree of flexibility
- Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
- Team player track record
- Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
- Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication
