Job Summary

Plan differentiated instruction using state and local curricula to address individual student needs while analyzing learning data to inform instructional modifications. Ensure full implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including accommodations and Behavior Intervention Plans, and develop, monitor, and review these plans annually. Engage students in active learning through research-based strategies and assistive technology, systematically gathering assessment data to measure progress and provide feedback to students and parents. Maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment by establishing clear expectations, enforcing rules consistently, and implementing crisis emergency plans. Collaborate with paraprofessionals, district personnel, and stakeholders to share goals and student progress, while compiling all required reports accurately and on time.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Education or related field
  • valid Georgia teaching certificate
  • Professional Qualifications
  • in-field to teach the subject and/or class assigned as defined by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission
  • Ability to relate well to students, parents, and co-workers
  • Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position
  • Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner
