Job Summary
As a Special Education Teacher at The Richardson School on the Sheboygan Campus, you will develop and implement instruction aligned with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), track and update IEP goals, and collaborate with stakeholders to support students with significant needs and behavioral concerns. You will plan high-quality lessons based on students’ academic and behavioral needs, create a positive classroom culture, provide leadership to staff supporting the classroom, and apply proactive behavior management approaches aligned with MyPath therapeutic models. The role requires updating Progress Reports on a trimester/quarterly basis, maintaining documentation, and ensuring an instructional environment conducive to students’ independence and growth. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction certification in one of: Cross-Categorical Special Education (1801), Intellectual Disabilities (1811), or Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (1830)
- Experience with individuals with ASD, cognitive delays, EBD, mental health, and related disabilities preferred
