Special Education Teacher (Inclusion)

Conduct daily instruction in assigned content areas using direct methods, audio-visual aids, and materials to engage students. Develop and submit weekly and long-range lesson plans, assign lessons, and review homework while setting clear short-term and long-term goals. Work within an interdisciplinary team to plan curricula aligned with state and school guidelines, consistently using data to evaluate pupil progress and report results to parents. Create and implement student intervention plans as needed, maintain attendance and discipline records, and provide necessary accommodations for all learners. Lead and participate in student activities, including coaching sports teams, chaperoning events, and working with parents and the community. Attend staff meetings, professional development workshops, and conferences to refine practice. Adhere to state and federal mandates regarding abuse reporting and other duties as assigned.
