Special Education Teacher - Inclusion Classroom

Develop a comprehensive individualized educational program for students assigned for case management and implement academic and behavioral programs within your area of highly qualified status. Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals by establishing clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects, while employing appropriate instructional methods and materials. Assess student accomplishments regularly, provide progress reports, and administer educational evaluations or reevaluations. Develop and monitor curriculum in an ongoing manner, plan purposeful assignments for teacher assistants, and provide social skills training to assist students in forming positive relationships. Consult with administrators, teachers, and parents regarding student problems, participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, and maintain accurate records for state reports. Maintain professional competence through in-service education and adhere to confidentiality policies regarding pupil data.
