Job Summary
Conduct annual parent interviews and student assessments while developing and coordinating individualized education programs (IEPs) with parents and multidisciplinary teams. Create tailored instructional programs and adapt the curriculum to meet diverse learning needs, teaching independent living, vocational, and social skills. Document student progress, communicate with stakeholders, and collaborate with occupational therapy, speech, and psychology professionals. Supervise instructional aides and support student evaluation and placement with Student Study Teams. Maintain professional development through ongoing training. Full-time role with weekly pay of $41–$51 per hour; requires an Education Specialist Instruction Credential and US work authorization.
Required Qualifications
- Education Specialist Instruction Credential
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience working with children
- Professional proficiency in English
- US Work Authorization
- 18 years or older to apply
- Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the classroom throughout the day
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs and safely assist students when needed (kneeling, bending, quick response)
