Job Summary
Conduct annual parent interviews and student assessments while developing and coordinating individualized education programs (IEPs) with parents and multidisciplinary teams. Create tailored instructional programs that adapt the curriculum to meet diverse student needs, covering independent living, vocational, social, and community-based skills. Teach these subjects across multiple classrooms, collaborate with specialists such as OT, PT, and speech therapy, and supervise instructional aides. Document progress, advocate for quality services, and provide parents with resources for home support. Perform regular classroom duties including planning and instruction, while maintaining professional development through ongoing training. Full-time role with weekly pay ranging from $41 to $51 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Education Specialist Instruction Credential
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience working with children
- Professional proficiency in English
- US Work Authorization
- 18 years or older to apply
- Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the classroom throughout the day
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs and safely assist students when needed (kneeling, bending, quick response)
