Special Education Teacher (High School)

Job Summary
Lead a special education classroom in a high school, develop and implement IEPs, manage PBIS, supervise paraprofessionals, and collaborate with families and staff to support each student's academic and social growth. The role combines instructional leadership with hands-on teaching in a supportive, mission-driven environment; responsibilities include developing lesson plans with accommodations aligned to IEP goals and state standards, adapting curriculum to meet individual needs, implementing and managing PBIS with behavior tracking and parent communication, supervising paraprofessionals, attending and leading IEP meetings with compliant documentation, conducting assessments, tracking progress toward IEP goals, collaborating with related service providers and outside agencies, and supporting assistive technology and augmentative communication devices.
Required Qualifications
- Arizona Department of Education Standard Professional Special Education Teaching Certificate
- Bachelor's degree
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
