Job Summary
Special Education Teacher for high school, 1.0 FTE for the 2026-2027 school year. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), behavioral intervention plans, and transitional plans; provide specially designed instruction, accommodations, and modifications to students; utilize assistive technologies; collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver a continuum of services; supervise and train paraprofessionals; maintain accurate confidential records; participate in state and district testing requirements; engage in ongoing professional development and a collaborative school environment.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree; valid Washington State teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement.
- Must pass Washington State Patrol background check.
- Understanding of current State and Federal laws pertaining to the education of students with disabilities.
