Job Summary
Special Education Teacher for Early Intervention and CPSE/CSE programs in Long Island; duties include evaluating child progress, developing and adjusting treatment goals, documenting evaluations and progress in EMR, writing detailed analyses, maintaining confidentiality of records, and ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations. Requires NY licensure/certification in Special Education and Bachelor’s degree; per diem position with hourly pay rates for EI/CPSE, SEIT, and clinic/home sessions; benefits and mentoring available.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State Licensure and/or Certification in Special Education
- Master’s Degree Preferred
- NYS Teaching certification in B-2nd grade students with disabilities (or permanent certification in Special Education)
- Knowledge of MS Word and comfortable with working with computers
- Valid Driver’s License
- Early Childhood Experience
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
