Job Summary
Special Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year with a split assignment: half-time at Riverside Elementary School and half-time at another district school to be determined. Develops and provides specialized instruction for students with disabilities; serves as IEP Case Manager; evaluates student progress; participates in Planning and Placement Team (PPT); develops and implements annual IEP Present Levels of Educational Performance, goals, and objectives; employs diverse teaching strategies to meet IEP goals; manages classroom behavior; collaborates with educational professionals and community service providers.
Required Qualifications
- Current CT Special Education Teacher certification, or certifiability (e.g., #065)
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of special education
