Job Summary
The Special Education Teacher at Great River Connections Academy will deliver specially designed instruction to students with special needs. Responsibilities include managing instructional guidance for a caseload of students, developing and monitoring IEPs and 504 plans, and communicating with the IEP team to ensure educational goals are met. The role requires valid Ohio certification, a degree in Special Education or a related field, and strong communication and technology skills. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment and effectively use personal electronic devices for instruction.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Ohio Special Education Certificate
- Degree in Special Education or related Education Field
- Successful background checks or clearances, including the Child Abuse History Clearance
- Experience in policy (IDEA) and/or administration with Special Education

- Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite)

Additional Requirements
- Applicant must reside within 30 miles from an Ohio border
- Willingness to travel for marketing, state testing and other school events (may require occasional overnight travel)
