Job Summary
Special Education Teacher for elementary-level students with moderate disabilities (PK-8) providing direct services in integrated and pullout settings as determined by IEPs; develops modifications to assist students in the regular classrooms; participates on evaluation teams; designs units and lessons with measurable outcomes; administers and analyzes assessments to measure student progress; trains Educational Support Personnel; coordinates team meetings; collaborates with families, general education, special education, and English learner staff; maintains high expectations, differentiates instruction, and supports students with disabilities and English learners; engages families with regular communication and supports professional growth and leadership responsibilities; must possess Massachusetts licensure for Moderate Disabilities and SEI Endorsement; bilingual preferred; August–June school year; competitive salary and benefits including health, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities –Pk-8– Required
- SEI Endorsement required
- Previous teaching and/or successful experience working with Children with Moderate Special Needs - preferred
