Special Education Teacher in the Intensive Needs Program. Key responsibilities include planning, preparing and delivering instructional activities; developing lesson plans; implementing crisis management behavioral supports; collaborating with district staff; maintaining clear objectives for learning activities; preparing classrooms and using diverse instructional resources and technology to address varying student needs; observing, evaluating and providing feedback on student performance; maintaining records of student progress and participating in professional development and district meetings. Qualifications require NYS or Buffalo certification in the relevant tenure area and attachment of certification documentation (PDF or screenshot); residency preference may be given to City of Buffalo residents. Salary is salary schedule plus $400, appointment for at least three years, with professional development at contractual rate.
