Job Summary
Lead instructional process for students with IEPs in a middle school setting, designing dynamic and personalized learning experiences within the learning center and/or classroom. Deliver targeted instruction using differentiated approaches, collaborate in co-teaching environments, implement PBIS strategies, track student progress with accurate documentation, and prepare comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards. Communicate with parents and administrators, adapt content to diverse needs, utilize educational software, and support ongoing professional growth in special education practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education, special education or a closely related field of study
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a VT state teaching credential
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a VT state special education instruction credential
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training
- Prior experience working with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction at a middle school level; preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program setting
- Prior experience and/or highly knowledgeable in working with students with individualized education plans (IEP's)
- Highly skilled in working with children with learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders and/or other related disabilities
