Job Summary
Special Education Teacher (Resource) at Centerville Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include instructing individuals identified with disabilities, implementing behavior modification and classroom engineering techniques, writing academic and behavioral IEP goals and lesson plans, developing diverse activities to meet objectives, maintaining safe classroom environments, using evaluation tools and progress monitoring, collaborating with parents and staff, employing multiple instructional strategies, teaching daily living skills, ensuring confidentiality of student records, and participating in professional development and committees. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in education and South Carolina teaching certification in Special Education (multi-categorical preferred); experience with students with disabilities and proficiency with educational technology are desired.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education
- South Carolina teaching certification in Special Education (multi-categorical, preferred)
- Documented successful teaching experience with students with disabilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology
- Multi-categorical experience preferred
