Job Summary
Ensure the safety of all students, deliver education lessons in a small classroom setting, and implement IEPs while tracking education goals. Support and reinforce PBIS goals and objectives within a multi-disciplinary team using a strengths-based approach. Work with children with various diagnoses to increase independence, focusing on applied behavior analysis and positive behavior supports. This 52-week position offers a supportive environment with low student-teacher ratios for those new to the field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- active Special Education Instructional I or II Pennsylvania teacher certification
- eligible for Pennsylvania Special Education Instructional I certification
- Emergency certification
- Special Education Teacher experience preferred
