Job Summary
Deliver specialized instruction to students receiving special education services; develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation; collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and related service providers; participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings; utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions; support students’ academic, behavioral, social, and functional growth; ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations; foster inclusive and supportive learning environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field (required)
- Valid Maine Special Education certification or eligibility for certification
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Experience in school-based special education settings preferred
