Job Summary
Develop students' Individualized Education Plans and implement lesson plans incorporating goals and objectives from all disciplines. Monitor behavior and classroom management plans, establishing clear expectations for students and staff while utilizing progressive discipline techniques. Maintain communication with the classroom team, parents, and program directors regarding student performance, adhering to an established daily schedule with necessary modifications. This full-time role at the Glenville Clover Patch preschool program supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, contributing to a mission of empowerment and independence.
Required Qualifications
- Initial NYS Certification in Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities Birth – Grade 2 or Special Education Permanent
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education
- Individual without a Master's degree must demonstrate plans to obtain a master's degree within a five-year timeframe
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently
