Job Summary
Provide as-needed instruction and learning support to students with diverse cognitive, physical, and social needs under the guidance of a Special Education Teacher. Maintain schedules, classroom equipment, and student files while adapting and modifying lessons and materials as instructed. Monitor safety and assist with daily living skills, medically necessary accommodations, and the use of assistive technology. Review weekly goal tracking sheets, report on education plans, and communicate daily with parents regarding student needs. Attend team meetings, trainings, and parent meetings while maintaining required professional development hours and adhering to all confidentiality and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to commit to a full-time schedule
- Comfort using or learning to use assistive devices (i.e. feeding tubes, communication devices, wheelchairs)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Special Education or a Child Development background
- Bilingual English/Spanish
