Job Summary
Manage a caseload of up to 10 students in Stamford Academy classroom; implement academic and behavior programming and oversee implementation of each student’s IEP. Provide direct supervision and delegate responsibilities to assigned Instructional Assistants and one-on-one ABA Therapists, while collaborating with the BCBA and team to develop and implement student programming. Requires CT certification in special education and familiarity with ABA/Precision Teaching/Direct Instruction; valid driver’s license; strong communication and organizational skills; commitment to inclusive, diverse classrooms.
Required Qualifications
- CT certification in special education
- DSAP or Long-Term Substitute Eligible
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis/Precision Teaching/Direct Instruction
- Some experience working with students with challenging behaviors
- Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills, experience using Therap a plus
