Special Education Teacher

Develop and implement an instructional program for students with disabilities; plan and deliver specially designed instruction; collaborate with SPED teachers, paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and service providers; develop and implement IEPs annually; maintain confidentiality; ensure compliance with local/state/federal guidelines; prepare progress reports; use NIET standards for teacher evaluation and align with Ascension Parish accountability measures; design instructional plans with measurable goals aligned to state standards; manage the learning environment for effectiveness; conduct assessments and provide feedback; fulfill professional responsibilities including PLC participation, attending meetings, and supporting school improvement.
