Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and implement the assigned curriculum while managing the Behavioral Management System under the direction of the Program Director. Provide direct supervision of students at all times, enforcing school rules and addressing behavioral problems through prompting, de-escalation, and safe physical management as needed. Track educational progress by issuing grades, progress reports, and IEP updates, and communicate with parents and agencies to coordinate services. Complete required reports, progress notes, and IEPs while attending educational meetings and trainings. Maintain a compassionate nature with children and adolescents, ensuring effective communication with diverse audiences.
Required Qualifications
- PA Certification in Special Education
- FBI, PA State, and Child Abuse Clearances
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
- Successful completion of all staff training/orientation programs
- The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a diverse range of audiences
- A compassionate, caring, and patient nature with children/adolescents
