Job Summary
Support new student enrollment through recruitment and outreach, then create personalized learning plans tailored to each learner's unique needs. Serve as an advisor for assigned students by maintaining open communication, monitoring attendance and academic progress, and delivering subject-specific instruction in individual or group settings. Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate progress, analyze data to inform instructional decisions, and provide targeted remediation or enrichment activities. Collaborate with the support team to develop behavior improvement plans, transition strategies, and incentive programs while documenting progress toward IEP goals and participating in necessary meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Masters' degree
- Florida 6-12 educator's license with a secondary ESE/Special Education endorsement
- 2+ years of teaching experience
- high school teaching experience

- Commitment to supporting at-risk youth
- Consistent, reliable attendance during scheduled work hours
- On-site presence
- Ability to perform job functions in an open, student-centered workspace
- Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands
- Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in non-traditional or at-risk youth settings
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and alternative education models
- Experience with competency-based learning, instructional coaching, or project-based education
- Strong comfort with technology in educational settings
