Job Summary
Provide direct, specially-designed instruction to students in grades three through five on individualized education plans (IEPs) that support progress towards achieving their goals and objectives; modify the general education curriculum for students on IEPs by collaborating closely with general education teachers, special education service providers, school psychologist, and parents/caretakers; ability to collect and analyze data and write and implement IEPs; knowledge of best practices around differentiating instruction for students; ability to work with paraeducators to support students’ IEP goals and objectives; ability to communicate regularly with all members of the special education team, including parents and caretakers to ensure that students are making progress; the ability to be flexible, have a positive attitude, and be a lifelong learner is necessary.
