Job Summary
As a Special Education Teacher, you will lead the instructional process for students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), designing personalized learning experiences. Responsibilities include delivering differentiated instruction, implementing PBIS strategies, tracking student progress, creating lesson plans, and ensuring compliance with IEP goals. You should possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and have a commitment to student growth in a collaborative environment. A Bachelor's degree in education or a related field is required, along with relevant state licensure and experience in special education.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education or special education
- Valid VT state teaching credential or in process of obtaining
- VT state special educator endorsement or in process of obtaining
- Certification in company approved crisis management training
- Prior experience in special education settings
- Proven success with diverse educational plans
- Knowledge of relevant educational technology
